UNIQUE  is a voluntary organisation supporting Transgendered people in North Wales and West Cheshire. This web site offers information about who we are and what we do, together with listings of  resources and links to other local and national Transgender Organisations.

TRANSGENDERISM - in all its various forms - and intersex conditions are more common than is generally realised. Only recently are they beginning to be understood by the medical professions. Transgendered people - from Closet Cross-Dressers to Transsexuals following Gender Reassignment Surgery - often need reassurance and support from others with similar experiences.

UNIQUE has a wealth of personal experience and useful contacts within the local community and caring professions. We also offer a safe environment where Transgendered people can meet once a month, and provide essential information about all aspects of Transgenderism.
